the cooperative winery was built in 1919 by architect cesar martinell brunet for falset agricultural union; in 2002 it was declared of national cultural interest, bcin

the building is formed by two naves articulated in T; the main nave has a basilican structure and was designed to hold the wine; the transept was thought for processing it; the constructive system is based in load walls of baked clay bricks and a roof structure with wooden truss

the project is focused on the facade and the roof of the processing nave, the elevated water tower and the resolution of the roof access stair; the constructive solution used on the roof allows the winery to provide natural ventilation for promoting regeneration of indoor air and the removal of fumes produced by the process of winemaking; the recovery of skylights on the processing nave provides natural light in order to reduce the energy cost.
